    Why should I buy ExperForms?

ExperForms has powerful, user friendly "form to database" connectivity tools for enabling the transition from paper forms driven processes to electronic processes.

ExperForms is less expensive than any other option. Our sales price includes 1 developer's license and open seating. You know exactly how much this product is going to cost you. Competitors charge a 'per seat' cost to use their software solutions.

I currently use a paper form and filing cabinet system. How will this transition help my business?

    ExperForms will save you time:

    • No need to request a form and wait for it to arrive.
    • By filling out the form and sending it electronically, the information can quickly be sent to the appropriate department via e-mail, while simultaneously being deposited directly into your database.

    ExperForms will save you money:

    • Reduce distribution costs by distributing the forms via e-mail. For time sensitive forms, this can save $15+ per form by eliminating the need to use expedited mail services.
    • Since the person closest to the data will be the one filling out the form, you eliminate the need for a data entry associate, and you will improve the quality and accuracy of the data.
    • Since you can add validation and calculations to your form, you can reduce data entry errors.
    • One step closer to a paperless office. No need to store paper forms in the office or at an off-site location.
Also reduces paper waste; no more obsolete paper forms. No need to store hard copies if the databases are backed up.
    • No need to print the forms, so you are never out of stock of the form. Can update new versions quickly and easily as needed.

Can I use ExperForms to build a PDF or HTML form?

You can use the ExperForms application to attach your PDF or HTML form to a database, so that you can store, retrieve, add, and search the contents of the filled out forms.

Does it collect the data automatically?

When users fill out the form electronically, the contents are parsed and stored within a database.

Can we search the database from the browser?

Yes. One of the benefits of using ExperForms is that you can search your database anywhere you have an Internet connection. You can also protect portions of your form, so that only designated individuals can search specific portions of the database.

Can forms be pre-populated with data?

You can pre-populate forms with data from your database, avoiding duplication of effort, saving time, and reducing inaccuracies.

Does the ExperForms package have form creation software included?

ExperForms can be purchased with OmniForm or Adobe Acrobat to offer a complete forms automation solution.

What type of workflow solutions are built into ExperForms?

During the Forms Wizard process, you are prompted for addressing information so that the form can be sent to the next party after it is filled out. You can extend your application to serve any workflow need using WBML and E-Xpress (included)

I am interested in building a system that would involve routing, form approval, data mining, and a few other processes. Does ExperForms do this?

With WBML (Web Base Markup Language), you can build applications that will easily accomplish all of this and more.

What platforms will ExperForms run on?

ExperForms will run on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT 4.0, 2000 Server, XP and 2003. The Acrobat Reader for form filling is available for Windows and Mac.

I currently use another server software. Do I need to use the WebBase server that comes with ExperForms?

ExperForms includes server software, which is designed to make data available on the web without calling on outside processes. ExperForms connects forms directly to databases through ODBC and WBML, a proprietary server side scripting language imbedded in forms. The server has a very small memory footprint, so it takes up very little memory.

ExperForms parses your forms and adds the WBML required to connect them to a database, so the ExperForms server is used to publish the forms.

Is it possible to route forms?

Yes. Forms can be filled and upon submission, be routed to the next person in the workflow process. Forms can be routed to multiple recipients and also be routed multiple times. Conditional routing based on form field or other values is also possible.

What is the difference between PDF and HTML?

HTML forms are viewable in any browser without the aid of a plug-in. Forms can be filled and submitted, but require substantial design effort to make sure they can be printed properly with all browsers and printers.

PDF forms requires a free browser plug-in (Acrobat Reader) for viewing, filling and printing.

What type of database can I connect my forms to?

ExperForms automatically generates an Access database from your form. You may connect to any ODBC compliant database for which you have the appropriate software drivers (some additional setup may be necessary, no additional charge).

I have some specific requirements: How flexible is ExperForms? Can it be easily customized?

ExperForms is designed with flexibility in mind. Ease of customization is one of our major selling points, as are our support and consulting serrvices. ExperForms can meet your custom application needs!

Acrobat PDF forms can be published on the web or intranet or even e-mailed. Why do I need ExperForms?

While PDF forms can be published on the Web or an intranet for filling and printing, they lack the additional functionality supplied by ExperForms. ExperForms' forms can be filled and printed from a browser, and by clicking submit data, is automatically inserted into a database. ExperForms also generates pages to search the database and display records. Using WBML, you can extend the functionality of your forms to include routing, password protection, intelligence, and business process support. There are significant accuracy and efficiency benefits, as well as later analysis possibilities inherent in ExperForms' direct to database methodology.
